Dr. Culviner graduated magna cum laude from Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania in 1986. He obtained his medical degree as a U.S. Naval Officer from USUHS: F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine in Bethesda, Maryland in 1991. His internship was completed at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia and residency at the National Capital Consortium in Bethesda, MD. Dr. Culviner completed his distinguished naval career at the Naval Ambulatory Care Center in Groton, Connecticut, where he served as the Head of the Department of Otolaryngology. He joined Ear, Nose, and Throat Associates of Southeastern Connecticut in August 2023, after spending 20 years at Eastern Connecticut Ear, Nose, and Throat. He brings a wealth of experience in General and Pediatric ENT disorders, but has additional interest and experience in dealing with facial plastic surgery and cosmetic office based procedures(BOTOX®, JUVÉDERM®, skin rejuvenation). He also has surgical expertise in thyroid, sinus, and ear disorders. Dr. Culviner is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology, a Fellow of The American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He and his wife live in East Lyme, CT and their 5 children are grown.
